During this event, we will give you information to help you in making the best decision for your freelancing career. Our speakers, Sonja Žabić, Mina Simić, and Irena Đordjević, will cover the following:
Sonja is part of the team behind the Pausal.rs application. With her work, she contributed to the development and improvement of the application. She is the author of articles on blog.pausal.rs where entrepreneurs can find answers to many questions that interest them. For years, she has been dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and independent work through a series of educational lectures, conferences, and webinars.
Mina started her career at Clever as a junior researcher, and now holds the position of Manager, and is currently the team lead for the "DTS" project. In addition to the digitization of tax regulations, she has actively participated in advocating the rights of digital people through the Digital Community association. She contributed to the amendment of several laws related to the IT industry, the regulation of the status of gig workers, and the fight for equal rights for women.
Irena gained seven years of experience in entrepreneurship, taxation, and innovation by working on projects supported by international and bilateral donors (EU, GIZ, USAID), as a manager for regulatory reform in NALED. Irena manages the Laboratory of Innovative Public Policies within the StarTech project, where she provides an analytical basis for planning reforms and creating conditions for accelerated economic development and preservation of creative potential in the country. She is the author of numerous analyses in this domain, such as the tax and non-tax burden of business beginners, the guide to using tax exemptions, and the gray book of innovations. She also worked on training for starting a business as part of the Start Legally campaign.
Tamara is an Architect and Interior designer, with a great passion for motivating people to grow their businesses, deal with their clients and work independently. She has more than 15 years of international experience in designing, executing interior design projects, and project management.
As an Upwork Ambassador, she has organized dozens of different events in Serbia, helping freelancers in their online carrier and establishing the local freelance community.
